Bonjour!

Just a reminder re. the hw and the magazines:

  • Cahier p8 ex n 1, 3 et 4.
  • You now have till Thursday 3rd November to order the magazines which are at a price of 11,50 euros and include 6 of them to be received along the scolastic year. It is NOT compulsory but STRONGLY recommended as it is an extra exposure to the language and its culture through very interesting articles.

 You can also practice your alphabet on the site which is linked to this blog, it is much slower than the rap version one!

junior 3 timeline

The junior 3s have made some really nice timelines about themselves, at first they weren’t so sure about what to put on it but after a few minute and after listening to each other’s memories it flew…

For next Thursday I’ve asked them to write 3 to 5 family events that have happened before they were born and place them on the timeline.

During the session we had this week we have brainstormed about TIME…We will now carry on by making our own timeline and the children should be asking you a lot of things about events having occured before and after their birth…get ready for some nice memory sharing moments….

Revisions for the French exam.

Dear all,

First of all,  I would like to wish you all ‘good luck’ for these coming exams and tell you that it has been a pleasure spending this year with you (sometimes better than other of course but that is the way it goes…). I’am really proud of those who gave their best all along the year and as a whole I was always very pleased with the participation level in class and in the activities (much less for the homeworks…something to work on for next year!!). Anyway, Here comes the revision list…well all we’ve done of course!!

  • conjugaison: verbs etre et avoir + verbs in ER with all pronouns (je/tu/il/elle/nous/vous/ils/elles)
  • culture: see all the handouts + livre p 26, 27
  • vocabulaire:You should know all the words we have encountered during different topics (family, description, stationnery, school subjects,  days of the week …) To help you you can find the lists on the book under the ‘MES MOTS’ category on the left p 18 / p28 / p36 / p46. To this add the different verbs we’ve seen + the handouts.
  • grammaire:
  •  les articles definis: un / une / des 
  • les articles indefinis: le / la / les
  • Qu’est-ce-que c’est? C’est…..
  • Qui c’est? C’est …
  • la negation : ne …pas / ne….pas de
  • l’accord des adjectifs: masculin / feminin et singulier / pluriel.
  • les adjectifs possessifs: mon / ma / mes. Ton / ta / tes. Son / sa / ses.
  • ability/communication
  • you are able to present yourself and someone else / to talk about what you or someone else like or not / to talk about your timetable / to describe yourself or someone else (physically, age, where you live, taste…) / to present your family or some of its members.
