A very big thank you!

A very big thank you to the junior 3s for their lovely christmas presents…Thank a lot!

Well done for your stockings that you will be taking home on Monday. These stockings have been made from scratch by the students (cutting, sewing, decorating) My only help was for knots and passing the thread through the needle to some of the children. A lot of children really enjoyed this activity and I’m sure will be looking forward to do more at home.

Yesterday they have started creating their own christmas wordsearch and it really got them involved very much. Another well done!

Please bring your project books on Monday!

Christmas stockings jun 3

Dear all,

For tomorrow you are to bring an A4 piece of felt, a needle and some thread.

I understand that it is short notice so for those who don’t manage to bring the felt if you could at least bring a needle and some thread that would be very good already as I will bring some material to practice some sewing already.

Make sure the rest will be brought by Thursday though so the real work can start!! Thank you!

Dear Junior 3,

This week we will be starting some sewing activity: Christmas stockings!!

Tomorrow Monday we will choose and plan how to do it and we will start the sewing on Tuesday.

Next week we should be finishing them so as to hang them in the christmas tree!

• Read the handout about the basketball and do the two activities that come with it (V/F) and the sentences.

Here is some vocab you might need: evevnement=event / monde = world / automne=autumn / choix=choice / rever=to dream / on peut=we can / seulement=only.

the fairytale topic

Good evening everyone,

Since the Mid-term holiday we have started a new topic : Fairytales and tales

We have listened and watched some videos and we are now analyzing what makes a fairytale what it is. Tomorrow the activity will consist in analizing the beginning / the characters/ the settings and the plots of a fairytale which will then lead the children to a creative writing with Ms Vanessa.

Some might already know about it but here is a very nice site on which you can listened to fairytales (We actually listened to Lazy Jack )

SENIOR 2

Bonjour!

Through this post I have several things to comunicate:

• Regarding the magazines; you have till Thursday 3rd Nov to give the 11,50 which cover for 6 magazines to be received along the scolastic year. It is NOT compulsory but STRONGLY recommended as an extra exposure to the language and its culture. (Plus, they are really nice!)
• A test will take place on Thursday 3 rd Nov which will include a dictation, a comprehension and some exercises. It is about all we’ve done till now (les questions, les verbes aller et partir, le vocabulaire, les prepositions a la, au, en , a, aux.). All the vocabulary is from the unit 5 of the book.
• here comes the correction of the exercises given on the cahier. I have underlined or pointed out your mistakes but I want you to go through it first and try and correct them yourself.
